ACTIVITIES AND EDUCATION IN ARCHITECTURE

  • Our partners were pioneers in the Lithuanian Foundation of Architecture, a non-government organization. Our team members remain active participants in the foundation's activities, and our managing partner is one of its stakeholders. (https://www.archfondas.lt/)

  • We are active members of Open House Vilnius (https://www.openhousevilnius.lt/en/about/), and our projects often feature in their yearly events.

  • We give lectures to the Lithuanian Real Estate Developers Association on the importance of quality architecture. (https://lntpa.lt/en/)

  • Our team members are faculty members at the two leading universities of architecture in Lithuania, Vilnius Tech (https://vilniustech.lt/) and the Vilnius Academy of Arts (https://www.vda.lt/). Additionally, they share their expertise by giving lectures and teaching abroad. They also serve as members of thesis committees in Lithuanian universities.

  • Every year, we host a "School-Student Week" to provide students with a closer look at the daily life of an architect. Additionally, we offer at least 10 paid summer internships to university students annually, providing them with hands-on experience and the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks and projects. Our aim is to not just provide them with routine work, but to encourage them to explore and gain a comprehensive understanding of the field of architecture.

  • We are active members of the Council of the Lithuanian Chamber of Architects.

SELF-IMPROVEMENT AND OFFICE CULTURE

  • We cultivate a culture of self-reflection, encouraging our architects to engage in ongoing self-reflection and collaboration with their peers in order to share insights, grow professionally, and enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • For the past five years, we have been holding weekly shared lunches where we either prepare the food ourselves or invite speakers to join us in cooking and then sharing the meal together.

CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS

  • We are dedicated to the revitalization of different areas of Vilnius and believe in the importance of being present in these areas. To this end, we move our studio every 3-4 years to explore new parts of the city and gain fresh creative inspiration.

  • We are unique in our commitment to the dissemination of knowledge about architecture in Lithuania. We are the only architecture studio in Lithuania which fund the publishing of most prominent publications of architecture in Lithuanian language by authors such as Jane Jacobs, Rem Koolhaas, and Reiner de Graff. Our goal is to make these works accessible to a wider audience through publication and distribution.

  • We offer various forms of support, including financial resources, to key architecture exhibitions in order to showcase the significance of Lithuanian architects and their unique history. We were the primary sponsors of the retrospective exhibition of architect R.J. Palys, "City of Palys" (“Palio miestas”).

  • We encourage our clients to collaborate with us and other renowned Lithuanian architecture firms. We also collaborate with international offices to assist them in gaining a deeper understanding of our city, as demonstrated by our role as local architects for Daniel Libeskind in the MO Museum project (https://mo.lt/en/).

PRO BONO AND IMPORANT PUBLIC WORKS

  • During the COVID-19 pandemic, we created mobile hospital plans for various civilian buildings in Vilnius, as outlined in the article "Do Architects Help Vilnius Prepare Temporary Hospital Plans" on https://structum.lt/.

  • We show our support for Ukraine's fight for democracy by contributing 5% of our monthly income to organizations such as https://blue-yellow.lt/en/. Additionally, we strive to provide employment opportunities for Ukrainian individuals who have been impacted by the war.

  • We developed a standard for streets in Vilnius and gifted it to the Vilnius City Municipality. This standard has since been shared and its principles have been adopted in neighboring countries, including Latvia and Estonia.

  • As an office, we offer our office space free of charge to non-government architecture organizations, students, and other organizations.
